aarden Posted September 13, 2007 Report Posted September 13, 2007 THOUGHT YOU WERE GETTING RID OF BIRDS,DUE TO FAMILY CIRCUMSTANCES,NOT BUYING IN BIRDS
Chatrace Posted September 13, 2007 Report Posted September 13, 2007 I take it you do white releases with your birds, looks like a good group.
snowy Posted September 14, 2007 Report Posted September 14, 2007 THOUGHT YOU WERE GETTING RID OF BIRDS,DUE TO FAMILY CIRCUMSTANCES,NOT BUYING IN BIRDS ive got rid of 15 birds, due to the fact we havent raced & my son does not have the time (& lost interest) so i have just got 3 more whites in, to hopefully start a white release buisness next year for myself. all the other whites i have, ive had the start of the season & last year.
Wiley Posted September 14, 2007 Report Posted September 14, 2007 ive got rid of 15 birds, due to the fact we havent raced & my son does not have the time (& lost interest) so i have just got 3 more whites in, to hopefully start a white release buisness next year for myself. all the other whites i have, ive had the start of the season & last year. Guest coxy Posted September 14, 2007 Report Posted September 14, 2007 i went through the same thing when i hit his age!! didnt want to know the birds wanted to be out with mates ect ect but the pigeon bug is never far behind it will catch up with him again soner or later it did with me anyways!! good luck in the future mate yours in sport coxy
snowy Posted September 14, 2007 Report Posted September 14, 2007 yes coxy, it did me too, i was 16 when i sold all my pigeons & they kept on coming back, so i had a bit of fun selling them & in 4-5 weeks they came back again & again, that was in the 1980s, but yes, it was me who pushed martin ( westy) into pigeons, & we still have 30 plus birds, so we wont be getting rid of them completly, just sorting out, as we didnt race young birds at all this year, but still got about 18 2006 birds ready for the channel next year, (a few have flown from france) so hopefully we might do better next year old bird racing, & still got 1 or 2 2007 birds (distance bred). thanks all
