Ur right same here 50% of above eat other birds and 40% are protected there was a

Leaflet came round our doors a number of years ago to do a census on long tailed tits

I haven't seen one for over 5 years along with sky larks thrush very little sparrows and

Even starlings are disappearing ,the people that can do something about it don't care

As long as there birds of prey are protected.they will sit up and take action when the

BOPS start eating each other because that's all that's left .

some good points being raised.

I think what is coming through is nature must take its course, where nature intended.

Now we appreciate there will be peregrines on sea cliffs and in areas such as the lake district, the highlands etc.

What we do not expect is a pair on Nottingham University, Derby Cathedral, Bath Cathedral etc.

Nestboxes being put up are giving nature a false balance, if we did not encourage them with the endless supply of nestboxes, then we would still have peregrines but in the areas nature intended them to be.

There are stories now that peregrines are taking Kestrels as they are easy prey when the are hovering, granted Kestrel is declining so could this be the reason??
