doo Posted January 31, 2009 Report Posted January 31, 2009 Eye Sign ......use for breeding only off of proven stock .....proven by racing . But then you have to pair the correct eyes/birds to eyes/birds that will breed better birds & not over cook it you must through study of your own birds body,eye,feather......no one knows your birds better than you. But if you pair strong eyes to strong eyes over a long period of time you will get big show eyes that local eye sign experts lap up with a big ladle .....but the racing ability will diminish .....the eye must be even in the 5 circles and not over fill one aspect of the eye this is where eye study comes in .....trouble here is which eye sign expert do you follow ....who is right .....I think all are right as the eyes they now best are in their own lofts & they apply the good traits they see in the best birds in their own lofts .....but this might be different in other lofts ....you have to look your own birds in the eye & see what they tell you ....but this will not happen over night it will take years. If you keep the 5 circles evenly balanced you are well on the way.
pigeonscout Posted January 31, 2009 Report Posted January 31, 2009 If someone knew what to look for in a pigeon eye that told him it was a breeder of winners then would he not have a loft full of winners?
Guest Posted January 31, 2009 Report Posted January 31, 2009 not in to eyes look up its ass lol Seems like a nice boy :B

As I said you have to put the right birds toghether ............also the hardest thing is getting these birds in the first place ....now hawks, falcons wires guns ....ect all contribute to why it is harder to come by such birds especially when the birds are young as they have no experiance ....also their eyes don't mature till about 18 months ....so you also need luck

doo Posted January 31, 2009 Report Posted January 31, 2009 quite true but is this not just the inbreeding that makes them not race well cross them out and see the difference Correct Frank .....but you mustfind a cross close to your own family body,feather,eye....family performance
Guest Posted January 31, 2009 Report Posted January 31, 2009 Correct Frank .....but you mustfind a cross close to your own family body,feather,eye....family performance could,nt agree more thats where the small loft should shine. the eyes will still be there but the vitality will also be there
pigeonscout Posted February 1, 2009 Report Posted February 1, 2009 It would stand to reason that the eye sign expert who has the gift of picking breeders just by looking at the eye should be able to breed a loft full of winning birds. There are DVD's books and videos on the subject. I watched one of these videos and the man never once talked about the winning birds he has bred. So can anyone tell me if any of these eye sign experts are top winning loft.
