Just back from the SNFC Clermont marking station, and the majority of talk was of the high temperatures forecast for Friday, down South, 36 degrees at one point. How do you think birds will fair in such high temperatures?

Good luck to everyone taking partscotland.gif

Not as hot as previously suggested, but still very warm.

The SNRPC had similar conditions at Arras and had a difficult but decent enough race hopefully this race will be similar. Good luck to all that sent , and a wee bit extra luck to the West section

Here's hoping, like here, the ground is so dry there isn't enough moisture for the mist and they get up sharpish. Think 5am is a bit optimistic myself, jmo, and would lean towards 6 or 6.30. That still gives them time to hit the southern midland's about 12'ish and the temp's are getting cooler the farther north they get.

Mind you !! I canny Ever remember doing well on hot days, so i'm just trying to talk ma self intae the race lolol

The most recent forecast I see is for some thunder with rain most of the week at Clermont.

However I think we will just need to wait and see how the weather changes as the week progresses.
