Crispy Plummage Any Ideas

hi lads the past few days my cocks feathering has gone slightly dry I can hear a crispyness in the end flights ive been training every other day at 10 chucks from 18miles they are hammering in take 3mins out of the hens who have been same amount of times and handle beautifully same corn and grit what I find concerning hens will bathe cocks wont im baffled but its set off my radar so to speak any help will be greatly appreciated

darren i seem to get the same problem when i have barley in my mix i have started putting cod liv oil on it and it has got better worth a try m8

Are the cocks going to the drinker when coming off a training toss ?

 

 

no they jump straight into there boxes down and calling mate hens are mint cocks are not far behind now I have took walters tip bit of codliver oil I had been keeping them on diat and barley for past 3 weeks think I pulled the condition off them slightly thanks for the reply though

darren i seem to get the same problem when i have barley in my mix i have started putting cod liv oil on it and it has got better worth a try m8

 

 

thanx mate seems to be working they are catching a bit of feather condition now think I was a bit heavy with the barley eased it back and used codliver oil and they are handling with a bit of condition now when they eventually took a bath my god it was like sludge with bloom and down im a lot happier now thankyou for the tip I was feeding 50 per cent barely cut it back to 20 per cent
