hi are all pigeon men in scotland believing that it is all not down to bop there are 544 breeding pairs known in 2002 and the can have a family of 6 buts let say they only managed 2 since 2002 how many are there now do you think and why do you think they will no have a count since then just say the first nests 2 years worth the young dont mate up till they are 2 years old local percies they must stay here born here so we have the first year 544, pair they produce 2 young each that makes it 1,088 pair after the first year they dont beed the first lot do that's then again 1,088 to add to the first year giving you then 2,176 pair the next year that would be 2003 there would be now 1,088 pair breeding giving you now 2,176 pairs plus the year olds of 1,088 giving you now 3,264 pairs in 2004 they then breed 6,528 with 3,264 young only a year old giving us just by 2005 we have the min number of 9,792 bop inside 4 years that would be like and with another 8 year to add to that what would the total be but just to let you know 9,792= 19,584 percies and when they all want just the one pigeon per day or what ever bird they can get can you imagine why us here in the west cant get birds home in time from short races on my figures up to the present day in Scotland there are 156,672 pairs =313,344 bop of the one type just now going about http://www.forestry.gov.uk/forestry/infd-8c4duh
