I been searching the internet for suppliers of doweling I've found a few anyone got some suggestions

i bought 100 lengths of bamboo for £24.00 does the same job and a lot cheaper than wooden dowelling.

I make my own dowelling. I cut lengths of softwood up into squares and fit them into 3/8 round holes. If you cut your squares accurately they will fit nice and tightly. I have made hundreds of crates this way and saved a fortune while doing it.
