Guest bluemorning Posted June 23, 2012 Report Posted June 23, 2012 anyone know the protien fat fibre content of green white and blue peas,been playing about with feed calculater but it mentions field and cow peas and horse beans not sure whats what any advice would be a great help.
jake12 Posted June 23, 2012 Report Posted June 23, 2012 After 20 plus years in the grain trade, if I remember correctly the analysis of all types of peas are much the same. If you find the analysis of the Maple pea, New Zealand or english grown it will compare with Green, Blue or Yellow. I hope this helps but its been many years since leaving the trade and the memory aint so good now.
Guest Owen Posted June 23, 2012 Report Posted June 23, 2012 Have a look at the Ministry of Ag information it is well worth looking at and it could surprise you. They advise against feeding more that 10% of brown skinned grain due it's tannin content. Have a look and see what you think.
