ghostrider Posted November 12, 2012 Report Posted November 12, 2012 IS IT POSSIBLE.. to find out what my father got up to in WW2.DO they keep any records,he never mentioned what he got upto, only 2 things i remember, being stranded on sicily.also he was in a jeep taking a wounded mate, somewhere in the desert, they were attacked by a stuka dive bomber.he was in hospital, with shrapnel splinters to his head.and i do believe, that the surgeons left a few bits in his skull.that was were he met my mum,as she was a young nurse.and my mother mentioned that he was deadly with the commando knife. regards stuart

PAPA B Posted August 21, 2015 Report Posted August 21, 2015 On Tuesday 12th June, I have been invited to accompany Fifer, ex Commando him self, to attend a day at 45 Commando in Arbroath, to present the cheque from monies raised here on Pigeon Basics, by our generous members. I am looking forward to the day, and once again thank the Basics members who were involved one way or another in raising this donation to the Commandos. Brilliant
