total newbie

Hi all, my 12 year old son has been giving me loads of greif to get some fantails! I have never kept birds so am unsure what it involves!!!

Any info would be of help; personally I would rather not get any as I expect, I'd be the one to clean out the 'loft' and feed them etc. thanks in advance, PaulA

Hi PaulA,Surprised you have had no replies as there are a few on here with fantails,Have you tried Birdtrader site ? http://www.birdtrader.co.uk/list/24, As for you having to clean out ,Tell me about it Rabbits, Gerbils, Fish etc  I've had to clean the lot out in my time once the kid's lost interest,Good luck

thanks for the replies; basically I just Googled pigeon basics, beginners and this was one of the listings. Is birdtrader another forum? not checked it out yet! Been looking around and the majority seem to have these big shed type of lofts; a lot more than I was expecting. I've seen some like big bird tables but house shaped :B on a stake type thing. I'm only looking at a max of about 5 birds IF I decide to go the distance. I'm in Darlo..................opposite the park and football ground.
