OLDYELLOW Posted October 29, 2011 Report Posted October 29, 2011 the colouring in a bird is more thought of when you show fancy pigeons.i suppose you racing people prefere the bird that hits the loft first before thinking about the colour of it.grizzle is dominant and putting 2 grizzles together will only make the grizzle more lighter.as far as i know the only way to get a pure white bird without the bull eye is to breed grizzles to grizzles until the birtd looks white.I like a bit of colour in my racers could be due to having been brought up with both racers and fancy birds , the fancy birds are ok but mostly to look at I get bored of them after a while unlike flying the flying breeds such as the rollers and tipplers but racing is more for me but can appreciate the fancy birds and the efforts in breeding birds to a set type , read some interesting stuff on colours although my knowledge is basic and mostly self learnt
