fraxinus Posted August 25, 2011 Report Posted August 25, 2011 Some Free pigeon software herehttp://www.gurnay.co.uk/
Guest Owen Posted August 25, 2011 Report Posted August 25, 2011 I found this information very interesting except that there can not be Gurays about today. 1936 was the last time there were guaranteed pure Gurays what has come since are birds bred down from the originals and selected according to the preferences of their current Owners. Bearing in mind that each and every Owner will have a different idea on what he requires in a pigeon, the birds will be changed accordingly. To me the most important legacy that Gurnay left were his methods. To many people he is regarded as the Father of modern Widowhood flying. I certainly would not argue with that.

No in all seriousness the originals were from all the top Gurnay men of their day Beebe, Watson, Palmer, Butt etc were acquired in the 1960s and have not been out-crossed since. I think that is as Pure for any strain as you can get these days.
