Guest bristolkev Posted February 13, 2010 Report Posted February 13, 2010 had bird reported in hartcliffe 3 miles away from me yesterday,this bird was lost off the loft last year with it`s name and address ring.the guy said he did`nt realise it was`nt his untill he went to put the rings on the youngsters underneath her.he could`nt apologise enough and offerd me a pair of youngsters from her... lol

Think most have just been letting the birds fly open bowl and maybe not raced for a good few years. Strayfeeders ;)

tjloft Posted February 13, 2010 Report Posted February 13, 2010 Happened to me, fancier passed away, son consolidated a list of birds in loft and asked RPRA to change owner details - turned out a third were strags. I just let him keep bird!!
Guest strapper Posted February 13, 2010 Report Posted February 13, 2010 got the bird..and no wonder he kept it ..turned out to be a very nice cockbird. i will have to check but its not the breed i thought it was..but im pretty sure its one of the birds i bred from out of fred cross birds...its a carmiel cardon x catyrsse if im not mistaken ,nice big chequer pied,needs a bit of tlc. ill post a pic tomorrow its in the sick bay at the moment while its gets the once over
