Guest Amy McLaughlin Posted July 25, 2011 Report Posted July 25, 2011 There has been a pigeon in my neighbour's garden (where I am feeding their chickens) for the past 4 days. He is tame but still able to fly up on the roof and so I haven't been able to catch him. He has one green leg ring. I have managed to see and H and 1245 but not the rest of his number. If he can fly will he eventually fly off home or should I put more effort into catching him. I have been putting bird food out which he is eating and there are two deep birdbaths for water. We live in Swimbridge, North Devon.
Guest Amy McLaughlin Posted July 25, 2011 Report Posted July 25, 2011 Me again. Any tips on catching a pigeon?
Guest Thunder Birds Posted July 25, 2011 Report Posted July 25, 2011 Hello Amy If the pigeon is fit enough to get away from cats what you're doing is probably the best thing. Once he's strong enough he'll try and make his way home! Catching a pigeon can be a difficult thing unless a local pigeon fancier can help!
