Found Young Racing Pigeon

i live in the whitley bay area of tyne and wear, i have been adopted by a young racing pigeon she sleeps outside my bedroom window i have been feeding and watering her rightly or wrongly but shes so perfect had two coloured bands on one pale bright green and one red ... she has taken the red one off and is left with just the green one .! i did hear though that owners dont want them back if there late and will neck them this may be sheer ignorance on my part as i keep parrots not pigeons but any advice on what to do would be appreciated as i dont want anything to happen to her. my email address is pink.parrot@hotmail.co.uk
