Banter taking over threads

Typical politition answer the part that suits or is easy to pick out

Fair comment about the banter, but be fair about it,

You may be the most consistant if not the most prolific at deleating or moving threads, but you only seem to do it to certain ones or should I say you ignore the threads and let them run, especially if an other moderator starts or is party to the thread

Also you made an accusation against me but when prove you were wrong never appologised or retracted it, if fact when I asked if only one family member was allowed to register again, no reply and thread was totaly removed, no explanation given, my youngest son waited nearly two weeks to get valdation email

With respect, your post that I quoted was a reply to Webmaster, first part of which was direct to him and specifically on his reply to you. Surely can't expect me to reply on that - and then accuse me of being a politician for not doing so? The second part was on banter, which this thread is about.

It is a mistake to generalise on how threads are moderated. None of the moderators monitor every thread and every post. Threads can run OK then turn nasty - usually it's a pm complaint that alerts any moderator on-line. As far as I am concerned, no matter who posted it, or who or what it is about if it is 'off' then it comes out. And deleting a thread doesn't mean that everything on the thread is 'off' and I and other moderators have had posts removed in this way too ... as some comments about moderators removing other moderator's posts show.

It is also a mistake to think that I somehow delayed your son's registering with this site. Webmaster does that and as most members acknowledge, he's had a lot to do recently, and there was a backlog because of that ... nothing to do with victimisation as you infer.

And there is six of us who use this line through a wireless connection sometimes.

Is is not allowed for more than one member to have an addres on site?

My son pigeondan is 30+ and responsible for his own actions

You accused me of having two aliases on the site becuse of multipal users on the one IP address, we are on cable so IP addresses are dynamic to a block in our street/area

Your post makes things a lot clearer. At the time it was evident that there was a connection between yourself and pigeondan as one was closely following the other in posting - saying much the same thing.

There is absolutely nothing wrong in what you are doing, you are different members all having different user names, and I apologise for jumping to conclusion back then that this was a single user with two sign-on names.

Hope we can put it behind us.

A PM regarding an issue will highlight an issue to us, and it could very well be that action is taken in the majority of these cases.

As long as there is one person posting under a single name there isnt a problem. IP addresses are not displayed to anyone but myself on the forum.

sometimes it just takes one post to lead on to something else , it is never intentional to hijack threads, and as for going to far , the majority of the posts are between a lot of us who are friends, dont think we have a go at anybody who is not, well except for harky when his dad is away and he gets into the drinks cabinet and goes aff his head

Wheres the fun in that, thats like me sending a pm to Tammy telling him he's stupid, he already knows he's stupid,

The point is to let everybody else know how stupid he is, then Tammy will reply and confirm how stupid he is, then we will say we told you so, and Tammy being that stupid will confirm it again, then everybody else that knows how stupid Tammy is will confirm it.

And again tammy will confirm how stupid he is by answering all that verified his stupidity and so on

Then he will start picking on the woman who think we are all stupid, then Tammy keeps going not realising how stupid he is ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D
