hi just wondering if anybody could tell me i fed my birds tonight and i put carrs add herb oil on corn the thing is it wasnt dry properly and with the birds eating out of pots they have greesey wattles on oil on their heads with puting their heads in the clay feeding pots just wondering how long they will have greesy wattles and when will oil go away on their heads thx scott

and add either pink minerals / brewers yeast to it so dry when feeding :)

I've tried a few oils for mixing grain with their probiotic. They will stain, how much depends on whether it is a thin (light) oil and how much you use. I think if you measure the oil into the bowl first, then add half the food, mix that, then add the other half and mix that until the feed doesn't stick to the spoon, that's about as 'dry' as you'll get and even if fed to the birds right away it will cause some staining to the beak & head, but will be gone naturally over a day or so.
