Guest Paulo Posted January 4, 2011 Report Posted January 4, 2011 Hope no one minds me posting this on here. New Brancepeth HS are holding a show race and YB Sale to raise money for club funds as the club has lost the tote which used to assist the club in running costs. Like all clubs how a lot of the members are aging so funds can be a problem in some cases. Show Race is for the NEHU Folkstone Classic 2011 and is open to members of the Deerness Valley Federation who fly in the West Durham Amal and members of the Durham Central Fed who fly in the Durham Combine. Cost is £1.00 a bird, £0.50p Penning and whatever pooling people select on the day. Classes are for cocks and hens. Penning is from 1200 to 1300 hours on the day of the show which is Saturday 8th January 2011 Mr J Bambling of Coxhoe HS has kindly agreed to judge for me so thanks Jimmy There will be a young bird sale with some fantastic lots in it which are donated from top fliers in the West Durham Amal and Durham Combine as well as club members. I will post a sales list in a minute. Due to the time of year pedigrees/information only will be available on the lots. Don't let this put you off though as the people donating are good fliers and people had a fair bit of success last year with the lots I myself scored with 2 of the three lots I brought and I know of one other person who scored with his lot. Hope to see some members there its worth going for the young birds alone as they went for fair prices last year with some people getting great value for money. Venue is New Brancepeth Working Mens Club in New Brancepeth which is a pit village located three miles from Ushaw Moor and Durham City.
