I was disappointed with my yearlings this year, although i'm left with pretty much the best of what i had, they did not perform well at all for me. To try to rectify this i am pairing my birds later (mid/end) February and keeping the Yb's natural. Yb results are not so important to me so i will not lose out in that respect, but will Hopefully benefit with a better team of yearlings in 2012.

I am otherwise delighted with my 2010 season as i scored in every National and Fed Open race that i entered and the birds paid for their own upkeep

What would you change for the forth coming 2011 season?

only 1 change for 2011,, racing celibate hens as we did in 2009,, everything else the same..

What worked well for you, and why, in 2010?

young birds excelled themselves,, we tweaked their feed and they hung in there right to the end,,

What, if anything was a disaster in 2010 for you?

we had 2 very bad portland races ,, losing our latebred distance birds,, we lost 20 in 2 races from there and these races were their 7th or 8th of the year,, All the work put in was undone,, but we live and learn,,

happy new year
