At present my loft is 6ft x 6ft.

I have the option to increase this to 9ft x 6ft or I could have a flight running along the front of 6ft x 3ft.

Not really sure of the advantages/disadvantages.  My own preference would be for a flight (I think!) as I could see the birds from the garden, but would they use a flight much?

If it was me mate I would definately have the flight on the front of it, the birds will love it especially when the sun is shining, you are also letting more air/light into the main loft.

You can also give the birds the flight in the winter to bath, without having to let them out
