pigeonman007 Posted October 28, 2010 Report Posted October 28, 2010 Hi allBit of an odd one I guess but I know some pigeon fanciers also keep canaries so these may be of interestI have for sale 8 pairs of my exhibition Gloster canaries. These are a mixture of 2009 & 2010 birds.2 cock birds being 2008 bred but these are very nice cobby, bulky birds and have bred for me this year. There is a mixture of coronas and consorts. Most are dark buff birds. These birds would be more suited to cage breeding than housed in mixed flights.I would prefer for them to be sold as one collection and would like £200 for the 8 pairs, or I would possibly consider selling them in single pairs etc if no interest on the 8pairsBelow are a couple of photos. I am in Kent and collection would be welcomed or I have sent canaries with Midland couriers recently and found them to be reasonably priced and very good service
Fly_caster Posted October 28, 2010 Report Posted October 28, 2010 Would these be any good for luring Sparrowhawks so as they could be moved on ?
Guest Owen Posted October 28, 2010 Report Posted October 28, 2010 Canaries, budgies and cockatiels are all good for attracting Spars. They will hang on to the aviary wires. The cockatiels are the best because they will always let you know when they are under threat. You can always get at them if you need to do.
