Guest ZIGGYW Posted September 10, 2010 Report Posted September 10, 2010 Does it make sense to basket on Saturday, starting at 12am for us,for liberation on Sunday at approx. 7-8am.Birds will arrive on site at Approx. 1-2am after traveelling for 13hrs.Can only think the reason is cost, one extra day on site will cost an extra £250 for wages and corn ,40p per combine member. We should have gone Friday giving pigeons an extra days rest and feeding and watering.

The birds will not be fed if liberated Sunday and watered on arrival on site.
Guest ZIGGYW Posted September 10, 2010 Report Posted September 10, 2010 i think it is for less stress on our yong birds 1 day is much better than 2 as yb stress much easier they did a trial run on old bird lillers and it worked with very good returnsOur pigeons in the West will be travelling more than 12hrs and then liberated in the morning, try travelling that time and then going to work.
