Guest Grasshopper Lofts Posted March 19, 2009 Report Posted March 19, 2009 I wonder if a clear perspex box would be suffice to do it as only natural light then. would that not create glare if all sides where alowing light in

Guest Grasshopper Lofts Posted March 19, 2009 Report Posted March 19, 2009 Grasshopper, I have moved this thread away from the original section posted (Chit-Chat) as some members opt out of seeing the posts in that section so you may get a better response on one of the main threads. Hope this is ok. no probs
THE FIFER Posted March 19, 2009 Report Posted March 19, 2009 you can makeone out of a good strong cardboard box, make the inside a light blue colour,
pjc Posted March 20, 2009 Report Posted March 20, 2009 you need a wipe clean base, formica etc, a plain coloured backboard and its best to have the top and sides made from frosted perspex to difuse the light. If you use clear perspex the birds will be able to see around and try to escape. Defuse the light source as much as possible to prevent shadows.
Guest Grasshopper Lofts Posted March 20, 2009 Report Posted March 20, 2009 Here's a basic photography pen: thats great thanks alot

Guest Hjaltland Posted March 20, 2009 Report Posted March 20, 2009 Heh Heh, it's a while since it was used last.. There's s bit of patience and skill needed to get the bird to sit just right and to constantly clean up crap! .. mind you paint shop pro or photoshop are good for enhacing the end product.... now where did I put those old pics...mmm somewhere in the bottom of a box I'll warrant.
pjc Posted March 20, 2009 Report Posted March 20, 2009 you would strugle to get a bird to settle in there as they would just want to escape
Guest Hjaltland Posted March 20, 2009 Report Posted March 20, 2009 It actually works fine with most birds... but the occasional one is too clever...
Guest Hjaltland Posted March 23, 2009 Report Posted March 23, 2009 Here's a couple of pics I took using the photography pen.. as you can see its a job to keep down on the crap, maybe if you starved them the day before? Its also a job to get them to stand on the circle and hold a pose for any length of time.
Guest Grasshopper Lofts Posted March 23, 2009 Report Posted March 23, 2009 there decent photos mate so your box does the job great
