Guest mick bowler Posted August 10, 2010 Report Posted August 10, 2010 Has anyone actually done any good with these racing in last couple years? They are no doubt are lovely looking birds (almost too good, show birds lol), and see plenty for sale but very very few with performances. When i say done good i mean winning good races not just "coming well" or "still in the team"!
pjc Posted August 10, 2010 Report Posted August 10, 2010 Nope, tried them pure and crossed and very few left, they won't be here much longer. Had a couple of best in shows with them though!
OLDYELLOW Posted August 10, 2010 Report Posted August 10, 2010 I had a pair did nothing here lightning fast from training 20 minutes in front of birds on training losted one last year first race other went second race , my thoughts were to cross them but i passed them on to a friend but you cant judge a whole loft by a couple of birds
Shortcut Lofts Posted August 11, 2010 Report Posted August 11, 2010 Had them and crossed them with John Crowders Delbars, timed one in the YB National from Talbenny in the money 53rd National, timed another from Penzance in the top 100 of the Classic, timed one from St Malo France 444 miles in the money, a friend who got mine won 3 races 80 miles to 120 miles. Takes a cross and it needs to be the right cross. Beautiful birds.
Guest gelanyi Posted September 6, 2010 Report Posted September 6, 2010 I'm sorry .. I do not know .. but some people will tell you the answer
pjc Posted September 6, 2010 Report Posted September 6, 2010 I think the amount of response answers the question, prob over hyped when they were sold on here!
Guest ENDFLIGHT Posted September 6, 2010 Report Posted September 6, 2010 i am very happy with the birds i have from STEVE,but to be fair,i have not raced anything from them yet.THE EXACT WORDS FROM THE MAN HIMSELF WERE THESE BIRDS MUST BE CROSSED WITH ANOTHER FAMILYto get the best out of them for racing,as they are a very inbred family.QUOTE FROM WEE BILLY!IF THEY CAN,T RACE,THERE CERTAINLY NICE TO LOOK AT!BUT AS I SAID ABOVE I,M HAPPY WITH THE ONES I HAVE!(THANK YOU STEVE!)
