Bob wire spacings ?

Does anyone know the correct spacing to set bob wires ?

If buying ready made ones, No space between the plastic end pieces. As long as the pigeon can get its head and neck through it will push them up to enter

we hav just made a stall trap and ares have a small gap between each plastic so it looks like ill have to change it because weve no birds to try it on

The bought ones have 40mm

I don't know if this is cheap or not as I make my own
