pigeonman007 Posted February 14, 2010 Report Posted February 14, 2010 Hi all Thinking of converting my loft roof to polycarbonate, which would be the best out of clear, bronze or opal? Opal lets in app 50% light
Guest Owen Posted February 14, 2010 Report Posted February 14, 2010 I have converted the front of my loft to polycarbonate. I have used the clear to give me the maximum light. It seems to be working very well. I think if I were you I would use the clear on the roof but I would have curtains to reduce the light intensity when I needed to. You may need to increase your ventilation to disperse the heat during the hot days of Summer. I have seen a system in Belgium where the Fancier removed the widows on hot days and replaced them with wired frames.
Guest surfer Posted February 14, 2010 Report Posted February 14, 2010 I have used polycarbonate on my roof and the windows will also be the same only they will slide open in warm weather.
