Guest joshdonlan Posted February 21, 2010 Report Posted February 21, 2010 Im trying to fit a 8 x 6 section out for racing youngbirds to this season. Its currently got a kitbox in, but I have a set of 20 box perches spare. I was thinking of putting these in the middle of the section, with a set of pippo boxes either side. My question is, if I used the pippo boxes as box perches, would it be ok to use them for racing with propper box perches or would birds have a preferance? Secondly can anyone tell me how to make the fronts for pippo boxes? Thanks
Guest bakes Posted February 21, 2010 Report Posted February 21, 2010 josh me think you can kill to birds with one stone with pipo boxs you have the choice of 2 box perch's when front is set down the middle or with front set at front left or right of box have a nest box the fronts are just a small cut piece of ply or any wood you intend to use the secure the fronts by the dowl that runs from top of the boxs to the bottom of the row of boxs you secure the wooden front via a 0 shape screw so the front has move ment to go centre of left or right to make it nest box i got a pick of my pipo boxs in my stock loft shows the o shape scrwew fitted to dowl and front i send it you via pm so you can see how you fit the divider all the best

Guest joshdonlan Posted February 23, 2010 Report Posted February 23, 2010 Looked on B+R site and theres are in total 61" x 24" x 12" so 12 x 12 x 24 should be sound
