Guest maiden heaven Posted July 6, 2010 Report Posted July 6, 2010 Hopefully someone can give me a bit of advice, well, theres bound to be someone here.In the last week or so we've been letting the Fantails get there bairings of the surrounding area to loft.Went well, and they are trapping without problems. So, as its to be a Dove Release Company and we have white racers, we were putting them out one at a time, until yesterday, when on release, the racer being tried, headed off into the distance.Seen it in and around, but quite high.It never came back to the loft.I'm only new, and this may seem niave to ask this. Can they stay away a while and return, if not attacked by hawk? Cheers Mick
OLDYELLOW Posted July 6, 2010 Report Posted July 6, 2010 If you want to do this venture then better to keep the old birds as stock and breed from them and settle the ybs bred from then for dove release sounds like the one you let out like you have has been spooked and headed for its old home
