Rollers turn over backward with inconceivable rapidity for considerable distances. Tumblers twizzle,tail ride, plate,and roll.Usually in the same "break". Check the competeion standard for performing birds.

they are I believe the same thing, some will say a roller rolls forward and a tumbler rolls backwards.  Ed
