How long is it till you can send a hen after having a round of eggs. ive heard about racing them to ten day old eggs or older. but to be sure the laying process hasnt taken too much out of hen. she would be flying 90 odd mile and her eggs would be 4 days since layed.

Previous advice on the forum was: 3 days after the 2nd egg is laid.

 

I agree with that. It's being fair to the hen. I try to train too before she goes back in the race basket. How much depends on how long she'd been off the road, but 1 x 20 mile minimum.
