Does anyone have a list of Fancy pigeon shows around Scotland or UK  ??

The NPA have a couple listed ,but there must be a few more than that ??

Even if its just a local show ! Put the date place etc  on the site and we can check back and maybe come along !

Thanks for your answer chrissy ,

My post was for me to start with ,but for everyone as well . If the shows are put on here we might get more people to attend . I have only just started dipping my toes into the show side of things, so untill I know better I thought it best to ask all of you where your shows are .Then everyone can be informed .

Unfortunately because of my job I will probably miss the majority of them as I work a lot of Saturday,s during the winter season .

Anyway ! , Why dont we use the forum to advertise our shows ?????

Thanks guy,s for the input so far .

Hi Chrissy

I was not being rude . But like Nipper I too am dipping my toes in to find out where we can go to get some good shows and advice but it is not easy when you stay where we are. I have just got some westys and want to know if they are any good. But I want them to fly out don't know if you can fly out and have a go a some shows. As for Nipper he will be my driver but he does not know that yet ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D

I have been assured by Andy Lowe who ran the fancy show at Blackpool this year in conjunction with the NPA that the show will definately be on again next year.

Yes you are right the NPA has been talking about pulling out,but it has been decided that the fancy show there will continue with or without them, but it needs supporting, you know the saying use it or loose it,so please enter your birds when the schedules come out,it is a great weekend.

Have been informed tonight by a reliable source that the pigeon section at the Royal Lancashire Show is cancelled.Competitors for all shows this year are advised it would be a good idea to carry your vaccination certificates with you at all shows due to expected increased DEFRA prescence.

This of course does not apply to fancy pigeons which for some strange reason are not required to be vaccinated [a big bone of contention at Blackpool this year]

That's right, only racing pigeons and show racers must be done, although it's common sense that all show pigeons should be done.
