Due to water logged ground the decision has been made today to cancel the show completely with just the exception of the world famous cheese show which will still go ahead.

I posted a thread about this lovely agricultural show a while back and it is such a shame it has had to be cancelled because it is such a friendly show.It was due to be held on wednesday 25th july on the outskirts of Nantwich,Cheshire. As agricultural shows go it can be described as the smaller version of Cheshire County Show with all the usual attractions such as trade stands, heavy horses, show jumping, brass bands etc.Traditionally the show always attracts a very large entry in the racing pigeon section and many fanciers will be saddened by it's cancellation.I suppose it can only be expected in light of the present heavy rain, not a dry day for a month in this part of the country. The Royal Lancashire Show was cancelled last week for the same reason and I am awaiting a decision on Bakewell Show tomorrow which is due to be held 1st and 2nd August, can't honestly see the ground being any better there.
