new to the sport

hi all

 

i live in the east leeds area,and have just had my membership sent out to me,from mr higgins i think it was,the only thing is,ive just moved to where i am now,and i dont know any local clubs to race from next season,could anyone help me out,ie where do i get this info from?

if you contact the Royal Racing Pigeon association they will let you know. www.rpra.org

Give the RPRA a call, they will be able to tell you what clubs are in your area

I'd watch out for pigeon lofts or pigeons exercising, and just pop round.  

 

I'm sure the locals will help you with clubs and contacts.

I second Bruno's advice.

 

I did this and have made new friends who have been very generous with their time and advice. I cannot believe what a friendly lot fanciers are.  The downside is, that there are so many different ideas and opinions that it can get a bit confusing to a newbie.

 

It goes without saying that this is a great forum for help, again, a whole bunch of very generous folk!! ;D

i contacted the rpra,and they gave me details on who to contact,so hopefully will get a reply tomorrow,cheers for the replies
