symbro Posted November 13, 2005 Author Report Posted November 13, 2005 my quess would be when people are flying both hens and cocks using widowhood and fly one at a time and having them trap into seperate rooms...
westburylofts Posted November 13, 2005 Report Posted November 13, 2005 we use two sections one with the widowhood boxs the other with hen box's in, you can let the hens out first then let them back into the cocks section after chaseing the cocks into the hens section, then return the hens into there section after letting the cocks out, and do this all week then allow the hens into the cocks section for about 10-15 mins then basket for the race, you can send both cocks and hens to the same race no problems. hope this makes sence to you RAY
symbro Posted November 15, 2005 Author Report Posted November 15, 2005 thank you that is exactly what i thought it was. however i was told (my race days are always saturday) to allow the hens and cocks together every saturday race or not.
westburylofts Posted November 15, 2005 Report Posted November 15, 2005 WE also race on saterdays mate, what we do at times is send a cock and leave his hen at home or send the hen and keep the cock at home, We do not always send all the birds as if we think they are not right they are left at home.
