Just saw on CNN about the fuel storage tanks exploding in Hemel Hempstead

 

Hope all my friends in the UK and their birds are safe and sound

NO ONE REPORTED TO HAVE SERIOUS INJURY OR LOSS OF LIFE BUT A LOT OF DAMAGE TO HOMES ETC.

Thanks, glad there are no serious injuries, hope the birds in the vicinity are all ok from the wicked looking smoke

will take a good few days to get it out, as with oil fires you must let it burn iyself out so far, before putting foam on it etc.

Could see the smoke down here in kent when it was at its worst,

some 60miles  plus away

My sister lives 5 miles from the explosion, and some of her windows were blown, luckily she was in Birmingham when it wenf off!!!

Ey, I think the people who work in that industrial estate will counting there lucky stars, that they wern't at work, or they would have been a lot of injuries judging by the state of those surrounding buildings.

just as well it's not the racing season with all that smoke for miles .and not knowing when the wind would change and shift it.
