does anyone keep and race pure white pigeons,if so,how well do they fly for you eg; results,breeding winners,etc,,,,,,,,,,curiosity for my brain cells

Yes I race mine and the slow ones are on my wedding team. Some have won awards at the 550 mile station,and have made that flight on the day more than once.

I keep them and race them bewted. I also do releases when asked, but am not really in the businees, at least not yet. I really just wanted to develop a team of whites that I could race and win with. I found that it took me three years to get winning white birds. Mind you I worked with what was given at first. I have since bought an occasional breeder to mix in with mine. But mainly I focus on breeding the ones that race well to get more that race well.

I have one white bird which is a bit of a favourite. She is down from Kirkpatrick grizzles from Louella and has been outstanding winy many prizes. In two seasons she was sent to 9 BICC Nationals and was never less than 2nd bird back to my loft. Her finest hour was in 2004 when she was 19th Open London and Southeast Classic club San Sebastian 548miles to me. I always tell my dad she gets back first because of all the hawks on her tail through France.

have you seen the roland janssen pigeons from belguim,there white and grizzles he wins around 20x1st a year.louella has bought a lot off him this year.I have 3 pairs of them off john mellor and they are very good pigeons.

theres good and bad in all colours of birds, its just that theres not of fanciers race whites, so obviously, you wont see them in the results so often.

ive got 3 white logans of a local mr dennis sanders, & he does liberations for the queen, & done the last jubilee, he has gifted the queen with a pair of these birds & she has them in her loft, seen the pics at his house, he has flown these wite logans from barcelona. ;D

I got my girlfriend some whites and some black ones too we purchased a brother to a bird in ohio that has 15 diplomas and is a futurity winner we also aquired some whites that are distance based these have won many races at 400+ miles so I guess we will find out how they are this year

As I have said before: I have two nice whitr pigeons and I am going to breed young once and then ffly them in a +-350km race in July. Just want to see what they will do. I am the joke fo the club as I like Pied pigeons and they tell me I am supplying the Hawks with food.
