any advice on what to do with second round eggs laid in the same nest bowl as 16day old youngsters.

do i throw them away or or put second bowl in the box (not much room)

depends how you are flying your old birds, leave them eggs there for more than 5 days and the old birds have a tendancy to throw a flight. so you could throw them out, but the trouble then is the cock maybe more interested in driving his hen than feeding the youngbird. but if u wanna race widowhood i would throw the egg out.

no worries leave them there then they will sit them and still look after their young.

i would make sure that the birds are in top nick after the first round as some birds need the break to ensure that the second round are well cared for by the parents just a thought

I would also reccomend putting one of the eggs under another pair this dosent cause as much stress for the parents and the single reared babys will be much healthier I have taken to single rearing nearly all my young
