Guest Posted February 25, 2006 Report Posted February 25, 2006 February 25, 2006 TO: AU Electronic Newsletter Subscribers FROM: AU National Office RE: AU Help-A-Beginner Program Results The AU Help-A-Beginner Program coordinator, Linda Joneli, has provided results for 2005. It is exciting to see many new flyers taking advantage of the program. We are equally grateful to the mentors who are giving their time and knowledge to enhance the racing experience for others! Linda reports, "The year 2005 has been yet another magnificent year for the Help-A-Beginner Program. This is not only due to the enthusiasm of both the mentors and beginners, but also to the many generous flyers and One Loft Race Managers, who have so graciously given good breeding stock out to Beginners in the Program. With the dedicated mentorship and donations of birds, the future of pigeon flying in the United States of America can only continue rise to new levels of participation." Linda also adds, "One of the most worthwhile aspects of the program is that many life-long friendships have been cemented." Results for 2005 are posted at http://www.redroselofts.com/help_a_beginner.htm. We hope you will encourage new club members (second year flyers) to contact the AU to participate in the program. We hear from many new flyers that it is because of the help received in the program that they have enjoyed their racing experience, which helps sustain members and build stronger clubs. Our thanks to Linda and congratulations to all mentors and beginners!
