sean75 Posted March 15, 2006 Report Posted March 15, 2006 does anybody just exersice their widowhood cocks once a day or is it beter t exercise 2 a day and how long between morning and afternoon fly if twice a day would it be ok 845 morning and four oclock tea time
Guest Posted March 15, 2006 Report Posted March 15, 2006 Sean, I think with widowhood it doesn't really matter what time you exercise the birds just as long as you stick to the same routine every day. I have seen some Belgian fanciers in videos etc only exercising cocks once a day. It's just a matter of suiting a system to your day to day life. After all its a hobby not a chore. Incidentally my widowhood hens are exercised once a day and they cleared up in the club for me this year aswell as putting in some good national performances. Hope this helps - enjoy your season!! If we have one.
jimmy white Posted March 15, 2006 Report Posted March 15, 2006 widowhood cocks 1 hour in the morning, and one hour in the evening if they dont fly three quarters of an hour each time id make them, but they must get perfect peace during the day [other wise they will not fly] youll know when their in form , when they fly more than this,, on their own
pigeonjock Posted March 16, 2006 Report Posted March 16, 2006 OUR WIDOWERS GO OUT AT 07.00 AND THEN ARE LOCKED IN THE DARK UNTIL 15.00 WHEN THEY GO OUT AGAIN AND ARE THEN LEFT IN NORMAL LIGHT.WE FOUND LEAVING THEM IN THE DARK DURING THE DAY KEPT THEM QUIET,RESTED AND IMPROVED THEIR PERFORMANCES.
