Guest Posted April 3, 2006 Report Posted April 3, 2006 The UNC had our open race this weekend, I didnt sent and dont know how it went, but the weather was far from perfect!! Our official race is this weekend and mine havent seen the basket yet, and there isn't enough time on a morning to get mine up the road B4 work, so Ill have to wait another week for mine.
deanbruton Posted April 3, 2006 Report Posted April 3, 2006 we start in wales on 14th april which is much too soon, hasn't stopped raining for ages can't even let birds out although any chance to train.

Mike Lycett Posted April 4, 2006 Report Posted April 4, 2006 Perk I'm sure they'll thank you for it in due course. Ours haven't seen the basket yet either and we start next Saturday!
Guest TAMMY_1 Posted April 4, 2006 Report Posted April 4, 2006 WE START OUR RACING THIS YEAR ON THE LAST SATURDAY OF APRIL WHICH IS TWO WEEKS LATER THAN WE USUALLY START.OUR FED HAD OF LOT OF COMPLAINTSTHAT WE STARTED FAR TOO EARLY AND THAT IS WHY WE ARE STARTING A BIT LATER AS THE WEATHER UP HERE IS NOT ALLWAYS GREAT TILL LATER IN THE YEAR AND I DONT INTEND TO START ANY TRAINING TILL THE WEEK BEFORE RACING STARTS WEATHER PERMITTING.
AlanWilkins Posted April 4, 2006 Report Posted April 4, 2006 mike wolvo starts saturday n ive heard half the clubs have cancelled when will they learn
jimmy white Posted April 4, 2006 Report Posted April 4, 2006 A FEW COLD EAST WIND HARD TOSSES OR RACES , WILL FINISH THEM FOR THE SEASON,,,THEYLL NEVER SEE THE LAST RACE
westburylofts Posted April 4, 2006 Report Posted April 4, 2006 THINK THIS IS A QUESTION ASKED EVERY YEAR FROM WHAT I CAN MAKE OUT. THE LAST 3 YEARS OUR LOCAL FED'S HAVE STARTED ON THE SAME DATE'S ONE ON THE FIRST SAT OF APRIL THE OTHER A WEEK LATER. ONLY THING I CAN SAY IS IF YOU KNOW YOUR BIRDS ARE NOT READY THEN DONT SEND THEM, HAVE MANAGED TO GET IN ENOUGH TRAINING DOWN HERE READY FOR AN OPEN RACE THIS COMMING WEEKEND, BUT IF THE WEATHER IS NOT RIGHT THEN THEY WILL NOT GO.
