bren23 Posted May 16, 2006 Report Posted May 16, 2006 just got y/bs in and noticed one has wing dragging on floor, looked at wing and the wing butt is all black and swallon is it broke, what shall i do, if you open wing it snaps back
jimmy white Posted May 16, 2006 Report Posted May 16, 2006 doesnt sound broken,if the wing sprung back in again,, ittl more likely to be badly bruized, and usually takes some time to recover,
bren23 Posted May 16, 2006 Author Report Posted May 16, 2006 should i keep in a basket for a few days jimmy
jimmy white Posted May 16, 2006 Report Posted May 16, 2006 usually they manage to fly back somehow , then the next day they are unabe to fly, why not put a low perch for it, that would let it jump up and give it peace, i would also stretch the wing out gently a few times each day, save it seizing up, ive had them like that b4 and went on to win, but off course its difficult over the internet , to diagnose things, but best of luck anyway, bren.
bren23 Posted May 16, 2006 Author Report Posted May 16, 2006 cheers jimmy for advice , i've only had pigeons since this year and they amaze me how brave and tough they are , how can they damage a wing badley and still get home ,
jimmy white Posted May 16, 2006 Report Posted May 16, 2006 must admit bren their trully amazing, and they never cease to amaze you :)
