Mike Lycett Posted June 1, 2006 Author Report Posted June 1, 2006 The lads have a choice on a Tuesday night whether we wanna go early or late. Every single member voted early lib - cracking race. vel 1338
westburylofts Posted June 1, 2006 Report Posted June 1, 2006 Who Won It Mike Hope you all had a good race Ray
Guest Posted June 1, 2006 Report Posted June 1, 2006 johnny- im not a member but was thinking of joining on the day. Eastbourne isnt it?and yearling race, might put 2 in.
johnny11 Posted June 1, 2006 Report Posted June 1, 2006 Gez it is eastbourne only £12.00 I think to join. Any idea of your distance from there as with it being so far in the East I feel we will stand no chance, as we fly roughly same distances and on a normal race we get lots of overfly from the Deeside lads.
johnny11 Posted June 1, 2006 Report Posted June 1, 2006 239. that is why we will not stand a chance in this race, we get 7 mile off some flyers on the Wirral john
rlez Posted June 1, 2006 Report Posted June 1, 2006 hello johnny 11 any west in the wind from eastbourne and you will tan the welsh birds les
Guest Posted June 1, 2006 Report Posted June 1, 2006 why whres your loft? im nearer prestatyn than flint. get about 8 - 10 miles off deeside
rlez Posted June 1, 2006 Report Posted June 1, 2006 hi gezza i fly 238 and give johnny about 900 yards and any west in the wind he will beat me.i fly more westerly than johnny, the birds come over the allotments were johnny flys and i still have to give them the overfly les
Guest Posted June 1, 2006 Report Posted June 1, 2006 the only wind we got any chance in is a south east wind really
Mike Lycett Posted June 1, 2006 Author Report Posted June 1, 2006 Who Won It Mike Hope you all had a good race Ray We won it - 1st & 2nd - both 2 1/2 mins clear... Aye - excellent race with good returns for once!
rlez Posted June 1, 2006 Report Posted June 1, 2006 now your using your head.anybody thats in the east to you will beat you but as the race points move easterly you will get more overlfly dont you think thats why your flying from eastbourne as voted by the chester 2bird committee. all the best in the race les
johnny11 Posted June 1, 2006 Report Posted June 1, 2006 Hi Lez Exactly, going by Gez distance at Prestatyn that will make the deeside lads flying the same distance as us on the allotments. the wind would have to be very strong to beat the deeside lads flying the same distances and on a normal day they come right over deeside. Also only getting 7 mile from Prestatyn.. the mind boggles I may change my mind now about sending john
johnny11 Posted June 1, 2006 Report Posted June 1, 2006 Gez looks like being a nice day monday with a south west wind. which way would the birds come from flying from eastbourne?
Guest Posted June 5, 2006 Report Posted June 5, 2006 hi sorry for the delay. just read ur posts. no i never bothered my m8 down the road did i think. hes been flying well. are they up? did you send? ill start a thread on here for chester 2 bird times.
