Hello there everybody,

I am 27 and I've just started up this summer with a few Aardens from my dad and his mate and a few kindly gifted hartogs (after my first round of Aardens fell victim to a fox attack) from George Brock of the new eltham club s.e london. I am hoping to race them as untried yearlings next year.

The main reason I'm here though is because I have seen such generosity on this site that I would like to put forward a project I am working on. I work in a primary school in south east london and have had some fruitful discussions with the head teacher about getting some racers for the school kids. I race out of an 8foot box on stilts so have little room so I am already going to give away youngsters to some children privately so they can start up at home, but the thing that really captivates the kids is unusual or pretty (for want of a better word) colours, which I am unlikely to breed with my blue hartogs and dark cheq aardens.

It is cheeky to ask, but if you would be interested in donating to the school reply to this thread and I will take a note and get back to you in the spring if I am succesful in getting through all the red tape and health and safety issues that surround the pushing through of this project.

Thanks for sticking with this long winded post.

All the best, Tony Byrne
