Guest Posted June 5, 2006 Report Posted June 5, 2006 Hi, the chester 2-bird club was and still is a very prestigupous race in the north west of enland and north wales. as with all other clubs numbers of members has fallen but this seems to be the trend in this day and age.marking takes place at the HQ of shotton club in deeside. in the winter months each monday there is a very good show with excellent prize money and people travel from all areas to show in these shows. so keep an eye out for dates at the end of the year. did anyone send to this race? did many birds go?good luck to all.
johnny11 Posted June 5, 2006 Report Posted June 5, 2006 Hi Gez I sent, it was a good turnout about 100 members. There was a good turnout from the Wirral but feel the wind will beat us today North East which will favour the shorter flyers. John
johnny11 Posted June 5, 2006 Report Posted June 5, 2006 I have just rang lib line nothing on there yet. John
Guest Posted June 5, 2006 Report Posted June 5, 2006 just had a phone call they are up at 9am light north east wind. all the best.post some times if you hear if you dont mind.

johnny11 Posted June 5, 2006 Report Posted June 5, 2006 gez The best time I know is Bateman bros at 1-49 flying 229 miles. Im way away at 2-34 but got both back so im happy a testing racepoint
johnny11 Posted June 5, 2006 Report Posted June 5, 2006 Gez At the Little Sutton centre Bateman is best but believe it will be between him and Phil bates. Any idea the distance to Bagilt? John
Guest Posted June 6, 2006 Report Posted June 6, 2006 i think bateman would win that one. think bates is in at 13.48. did you hear the final result?
johnny11 Posted June 6, 2006 Report Posted June 6, 2006 Gez the race was won by Bateman Bros Wirral, second was Phil Bates. This is a good hen this pigeon was 2nd club Lyndhurst on Saturday. this hen must have been out on her own as it was a North East wind you would expect the Welsh lads to take it. The bird lost a minute as the lad had to attend the call of nature and got caught with his pants down, literally. We were shouting to him and I looked at my clock and it was 48 mins and 40 secs. He did not have his clock on him or a trapper ready (trader the trapper for a crapper). How did your mate end up John
Guest Posted June 8, 2006 Report Posted June 8, 2006 my m8 ended up 14th i think which isnt bad going.
Guest Posted June 8, 2006 Report Posted June 8, 2006 great win that. he on same allotment as you? send him my crongrats.
