Hey all,

One of my young hens just laid an egg on the floor of the yb loft. How should i handle her?? I mean, should i get her on a nest of pot eggs??? My loft is semi darkened at the moment and she's mated with a young cock.. They've claimed a dark corner for their own. Any thoughts?

Is your money race in October,???? if so I would take any eggs out until nearer the time, then play the pot egg game the week coming up to the race.

To get the best results, let the hen sit her own eggs, then from Monday onwards add another pot egg to the next, then she's sitting about 6, by shipping time.

won two combines doing this

Hope it helps
