Guest Posted July 8, 2006 Report Posted July 8, 2006 I just had to share this with you guys as it was brilliant to see. It has probably happenend to some of you before but for me this is a first. I sent 27 birds with the club to Portland today and I was expecting them about 10.10am. Around 10.11am 16 birds dropped together and trapped all at once. Within 3 minutes I had all 27 and the lofts shut up - fantastic to watch!!! It's about 94 miles to me and I was doing 1639 but to honest if I am dead last today I don't care - what a sight.
captain panic Posted July 8, 2006 Report Posted July 8, 2006 Well done you! Couple of years ago we had a cracking season with our widows and they were all home most weeks within 15 minutes of each other. Started with 20 cocks and still had 20 on last race - not one of them nighted out either. Some seasons are just like that aren't they. Trick is to keep doing it!! Let us know how you get on with results tonight!
Guest shadow Posted July 8, 2006 Report Posted July 8, 2006 must agree sent seven to maidstone today had all seven within 12 minutes 164 miles pity its my last old bird race
Guest Posted July 8, 2006 Report Posted July 8, 2006 Wow fantastic. I'd rather see all my birds home like that than a red card anyday. CONGRATULATIONS
Guest Posted July 8, 2006 Report Posted July 8, 2006 They have been flying like that all season like you say 15 to 20 mins normally. 3 minutes was awesome. Your right hyacinth you can keep the red card if I can see them come like that again. Hope you have a good one today Rose , I never sent to the BICC as my mum and dad are away on holiday and I am looking after the shop so waiting around for more birds would have been hard.
Guest TAMMY_1 Posted July 8, 2006 Report Posted July 8, 2006 I DON'T THINK WE HAVE MUCH CHANCE OF THAT TONIGHT
jimmy white Posted July 8, 2006 Report Posted July 8, 2006 congrats, w,hood maker, great to see them come like that :)
