Peckedhen Posted November 17, 2005 Report Posted November 17, 2005 Does anyone know if the show at Clitheroe Auction is still on this weekend albeit with no birds? :-/
Guest beautyhomer Posted November 17, 2005 Report Posted November 17, 2005 Peckedhen, I have just phoned one of the committee members and the show is not on.The rules governing the issue of licences is so stringent that no one is bothering. Therefore no shows until January seems likely. He said that judges would have to wash their hands after handling each bird and change their judging coats. Andrew
Peckedhen Posted November 17, 2005 Author Report Posted November 17, 2005 Thanks Beautyhomer. Maybe nexr year.
GREENGRASS Posted November 17, 2005 Report Posted November 17, 2005 I have just heard that there has been a review of the ban on pigeon shows and shows will be able to go ahead has anyone else heard anything.
Guest beautyhomer Posted November 17, 2005 Report Posted November 17, 2005 yes, shows can now go ahead but the rules to get a licence make it very difficult to comply so the word is no one is bothering
GREENGRASS Posted November 17, 2005 Report Posted November 17, 2005 yes i know there is a lot of red tape but i think we might be getting a review there aswell.
