barlbylofts Posted October 5, 2006 Report Posted October 5, 2006 i have prisoner stock in winter i feed them on just barly and wheat then a good breeding mix in breeding season . well what i do i weigh it out to what each bird need per day.each feed if they leave any in the troth take it away, that way they cant keep going back to the troth a pick all day so should stay healthy. mark barlbylofts
Guest Posted October 5, 2006 Report Posted October 5, 2006 i feed my stock on beans/peas/maize and wheat...which i pay £2 for a bag which is more then 25kg in weight...straight from the farm.
ACE LOFTS Posted October 5, 2006 Report Posted October 5, 2006 what i do is feed them there normal moulting mix then ones they have moulted i put on garlic in the water and fresh grit every day but no food for 5 days then i give them barley. as soon as u dont feed them for 5 days the weight just drops off them.
