Chester-Ie-Street Saturday 7th October 2006 at 12.00 NOON This letter gives notice that an Emergency General Council Meeting will be held as shown above. Agenda The meeting has been called for the sole purpose of discussing and deciding appeals arising from the NEHU Futurity Sub-Committee's decision that certain birds could not be included in the result of the Futurity Race, flown on 28th August 2006. The Sub-Committee anticipated that there would be appeals and decided also that no provisional result could be published until the appeals were heard. Appeals will be heard in the order listed below:- Marking Station :- "The Shack", Boldon 1 McSween & Sexton Due to clerical error, pigeon number 1108 was wrongly recorded in the Race Register as 1104. Pigeon number 1108 achieved the highest average velocity and, if included in the result wins first prize of £6,000 plus £ 504.14 pools. 2 Graham, Gilchrist & Brennan The print-out from their Junior Quartz Computer Clock (T3) has not been signed by two members of the clock committee as required by clock rule 5c. Pigeon number 797, if included, would occupy 32nd position and win £ 188.29 pools. Marking station :- Sappers Corner Garage 3 I & D Maddison The print-out from their Junior Quartz Computer Clock (T3) has not been endorsed with the race point and has not been signed by two members of the clock committee as required by clock rule 5c. Pigeon numbers 1221 and 1217 would occupy 36 and 38th positions winning £19.43 and £ 6.48 from the £2 pool. Marking station Westerhope Notes <!--[if !supportLists]-->a) <!--[endif]-->15 clock envelopes were received at the NEHU office. <!--[if !supportLists]--> <!--[endif]-->1 STB print-out was completed correctly and complied with all the requirements of clock rule 5. (Helm, Knox & Brown). <!--[if !supportLists]-->c) <!--[endif]-->Not a single print-out from any of the other 14 showed (a) the clock station or ( the race point. d) 3 of the 14 had been signed by only one member of the clock committee. The other 11 had no signatures at all. 4 B Wallace & Son As notes above, one signature only. Non-compliance with clock rule 5. Pigeon number 1521 would occupy 30th position, if included, winning £300 race money and £290.06 from the pools. Pigeon number 1522 would occupy 168th position winning £45.71 from the £10 pool. Pigeon number 1523 would occupy 178th position winning £34.29 from the £10 pool. Pigeon number 1520 would occupy 242th position winning £ 3.81 from the £10 pool. (Total winnings £673.87) 5 Elliott & Watson As notes above, no signatures. Non-compliance with clock rule 5. davebuttle Posted October 8, 2006 Report Share Posted October 8, 2006 Just heard that after the meeting yesterday, that all appeals were upheld and the payouts will take palce.
