Guest CS Posted October 3, 2006 Report Posted October 3, 2006 Paulo, about 2 or 3 years ago we went to Blackpool Herman Beaverdam Auction, we wanted to purchase 1 pair but we didn't like birds in the auction.... They are only go for Pedigrees......
Guest Paulo Posted October 3, 2006 Report Posted October 3, 2006 You can only try them craig I liked the look of the birds not the pedigrees. I'll put some pictures of them up the pedigrees mean nothing to me anyone they are all dutch gobbly gook
Wiley Posted October 3, 2006 Report Posted October 3, 2006 paulo scan in the pedigrees will be interesting to find out what they are and if ive got or had the bloodlines there
Guest Paulo Posted October 3, 2006 Report Posted October 3, 2006 you'll have to click on them to make them bigger
Guest Paulo Posted October 3, 2006 Report Posted October 3, 2006 last one see I can get the pedigrees up not like coxy anyone fancy giving me a £1000 for the lot it might help recoup the beer money
ACE LOFTS Posted October 3, 2006 Report Posted October 3, 2006 iv got 1 direct off that merxduiven shes a 91 pigeon here sone is a cracking pigeon bred a few for me. i dont think u will go wrong with them mate.
AlanWilkins Posted October 3, 2006 Report Posted October 3, 2006 The first birds i won with came from Herman the Huybrects i found then outstanding Middle distance birds at blackpool 2000 i was lucky enough to purchace Champion 101 2 direst daughters of the 17 hen and a full brother to the good 850. You get the best out of them you can, the bloods there thats the main thing.
Guest Paulo Posted October 3, 2006 Report Posted October 3, 2006 Cheers ace like I say they are nice looking birds paid 40 a piece so didn't get too robbed. Any chance anyone can give me any advice on what to pair to what "Geeloger 019'' NL 06-5633867 & "Geeloger 019'' NL 06-5633868 are nestmates so I won't be able to pair them will I. NL 06-5633868 is the cock so do I pair him to "Redback'' NL 06-2122416 or "little whisper'' NL 06 -5633850. I know its a hard thing to answer when you haven't handled the birds etc but will be grateful for any advice I'll whack a few pictures up of them tomorrow. Don't know my janssens very well at all. Will have 2 spare hens will try and cross them into the busschaerts maybe
AlanWilkins Posted October 3, 2006 Report Posted October 3, 2006 Ive just had 3 pairs returned to me that were out on loan Rose, i dont realy have the room but the chap i loaned them to also had a son of my Docx Joe 90 there so i fetched them Sunday. It was like a step back in memory lane. I think alot of people catched on to the Marcellas crosses that were doin alot of damage up Liverpool and the pures are a bit hard to find.
Guest Posted October 3, 2006 Report Posted October 3, 2006 Rose if you go to Elimarpigeons website there a auction on there, starting on thurs - Davenport & Roberts for the Hybrects
Guest Paulo Posted October 3, 2006 Report Posted October 3, 2006 Huybrects:- are those the distance ones he had black and pied ones there beautiful pigeons one went for about £60 the other didn't sell I think which was a shame because it was a beautiful pigeon worth 40 quid of anybodys money I would have bought it but then common sense prevailed I don't have anything to pair it to and I need to leanr to walk before I can run so a bird of that calibre would be wasted on me.
Guest Paulo Posted October 3, 2006 Report Posted October 3, 2006 Heres my comments on the auction last night taken from another topic It was really wierd last night mate pigeons that looked a load of sh** all hunched up and looked ill and owt over were selling well yet some lots where the birds looked great in perfect health and looked like nice balanced pigeons were going for nowt. Asked my dad about it and he said people were prob just chasing pedigrees. Beaverdam had some lovely long distance birds dark pied beautiful.
AlanWilkins Posted October 3, 2006 Report Posted October 3, 2006 Just looked some very well breed birds the "Donkere141" was paired to the "16 Duif" a daughter of the 17 hen i mentioned above and breed some outstandind bird she was Jans number 1 stock hen. The birds picture fit the look and type perfect to the ones been returned to me.
Guest Paulo Posted October 3, 2006 Report Posted October 3, 2006 was sad really there was quite a few unsold lots another the auction think a few may have been sold privately after the auction I did a deal with Herman for one of mine that was unsold. Herman seems quite a nice guy. Don't get me wrong I'm not saying the auction was a failure but there wasn't the flurry of interest I would have expected considering we are all pigeon daft up north especially after a few beers. I think highest bird sold for something like - £200 -£300 quid. Most of the lots were going from around £40 - £60 quid which is a fair price considering the cost of importing them and breeding them I paid £40 a young bird do you think I got a good deal after looking at peds? They are all nice young uns as well feel good in the hand nice quality of feathering. looked very well considering they have been imported. Was a bit gutted because a nice red cock was for sale would have went nice with redback put a bid in for £40.00 he was just about to accept and then one of the auction staff started bidding barsteward! Went up to £50 so I dropped out thinking sod it if he wants it that bad. Thanks for your feedback everybody as I was starting to get a bit worried because a lot of people seem negative about hermans birds and they didn't sell as well as I thought they would last night. The old man still thinks I am an idoit for buying one so will have to hide the others from him or he'll disown me changing the locks on the cree is a must lol
Guest Paulo Posted October 3, 2006 Report Posted October 3, 2006 Ace was that your loft profiled in the homing world a couple of weeks ago? very impressed mate hope I do as well as you one day when I get some experience under my belt.

Guest Paulo Posted October 3, 2006 Report Posted October 3, 2006 See Herman has some advertised called the nightfliers are these the same thing rumour is they can fly at night!!!!! Sounds a bit mad I though all birds roosted at night
ACE LOFTS Posted October 3, 2006 Report Posted October 3, 2006 hi paulo to answer some of your questions a lot of people seem negative about hermans birds? well mate if people told u the truth i would say majority of them have won with his pigeons, Ace was that your loft profiled in the homing world a couple of weeks ago? yes mate it was in this weeks book.
